How To Choose (What To Ask) a DWI Lawyer!

Look at their qualifications, examine the website for substance not fluff, and ask them the tough questions about your specific case.

  • Ask them if they have extensive knowledge of the breath testing machine that you blew into.
  • Ask them when was the last time they performed studies on an Intoxilyzer 5000 Model 68EN.
  • Ask them the last time they took an Intoxilyzer machine apart and put it back together again.
  • Ask them if they are qualified as a Practitioner or Instructor in the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests.
  • Ask them to explain the validation studies that were done to support the SFSTs that you performed or were asked to perform.
  • Ask them to identify Marcelina Burns and describe her function in the area of DWI defense.
  • Ask them to identify the “clues” on the SFSTs and to explain the NHTSA position of the test results that you obtained.
  • Ask them to explain retrograde extrapolation, RFI interference, mouth alcohol, Interferent alerts, the sample chamber, the diagnostic test, the slope detector, the filter wheel, etc.
