Stephanie Lynn May
Criminal Defense Attorney
Stephanie Lynn May was born and raised in San Angelo, Texas. She attended the University of Texas at Austin for college, where she was a member of the Alpha Phi sorority. Stephanie earned her law degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas. During law school, she was a criminal law clerk for the Law Office of Edward F. Shaughnessy, III and held a summer internship at the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals in Austin, Texas. While working for the Court, she assisted the Courts’ staff attorneys with death penalty cases, writs of habeas corpus, and petitions for discretionary review. Stephanie also had the opportunity to attend the Institute of World Legal Problems in Innsbruck, Austria where she met and attended lectures by United States Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia. Immediately upon passing the Texas Bar Examination, Stephanie began working as a criminal defense attorney in our offices.
Stephanie is a member of the San Antonio Junior League, San Antonio Criminal Defense Lawyer’s Association, and San Antonio Young Lawyer’s Association. She enjoys playing soccer, camping in West Texas, and taking her dog, Burt, to the dog park.
